“The UAE AEO program will provide Dow with a strong competitive advantage to better serve its customers in the region through a secure, expedited and streamlined supply chain process,” said Moosa Al-Moosa, president of Dow in the UAE & Finance director India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey. “We have a history spanning three decades of doing business in the UAE and the government has consistently supported us by extending an environment which is conducive to commercial activities.”

The certification process is aimed at demonstrating the quality and reliability of company processes, procedures, systems, competencies and security measures involved in international trade. The AEO certification also provides companies with a host of commercial benefits including faster customer clearance, prioritization in inspections, reduced post-clearance audits and a dedicated Customers Key Account Manager.

Ihab Elia, Logistics & ITO director - India, Middle East and Africa at Dow added, “as the world becomes a smaller place driven by globalization, the importance of efficient trade processes has increased tremendously, with industries looking for the quickest and smartest means to do business securely. The AEO certification acknowledges this need and facilitates trade between our key entities in a timely manner, thus allowing us to address our customer needs competently.”

Dow has been present for more than 30 years in the UAE delivering a broad range of technologies to local customers across many industries, including packaging, building and construction, oil and gas, and agriculture. The UAE serves as the hub for Dow’s growing business and organizational presence in India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey region. In addition to contributing to the chemical sector, Dow is also committed to supporting the UAE’s vision by partnering more closely with the government in its STEM initiatives.
