Petrofac wins five-year training contract with KOC

The contract, which is valued at more than US$35mn, was secured following a competitive tendering process and is effective immediately. 

Petrofac will support KOC in reviewing and updating its competency systems and will develop and deliver technical training programmes to enhance the capability of its operations and maintenance personnel.

A team of more than 30 training professionals and technical specialists from Petrofac will be embedded within KOC’s operations to deliver skills and competency-based learning and development services at the frontline of production operations.

This project will build legacy value through the development of systems and processes to operationalise human capability development where it matters the most, in the field. The award follows hot on the heels of a long-term framework agreement secured with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for engineering, procurement and construction management services relating to major oil and gas projects.
